No height clearance objection certificate (NOC) is issued by India's Airports Authority according to the Govt. The Ministry of Civil Aviation of India sought to protect the airspace in and around aerodromes so as to permit regular, safe aircraft operations and to prevent aerodromes from becoming inoperable due to the expansion of obstructions around the airports. The Assigned Officer (DO) of the Airports Authority of India provides NOC pertaining to civil aerodromes on behalf of the Central Government (AAI). The appointed officers of the AAI shall also issue a NOC in the case of State-owned and private aerodromes permitted by the Directorate-General for Civil Aviation.
